Do you feel exhausted all the time?

Are You Feeling Tired and Lacking Energy?
If you’re always feeling exhausted, possibly your sleep isn’t refreshing and you wake up feeling like you didn’t sleep at all. Additionally, you may often experience bloating, aches, and pains.

You find yourself depending on coffee and protein bars for an energy boost?

Here is what may be happening

When our blood sugar levels are high, the hormone insulin triggers the liver to store the excess as glycogen. When blood sugar levels fall, the liver releases glycogen to be turned into glucose.

If the liver fails in this task, the result is chronic fatigue, sugar cravings, weight gain.

When the body doesn’t have enough nutrients (vitamin and minerals) to do the job it requires to function daily, it starts pulling from your bones.

The body needs these nutrients from a range of food that are wholesome, un-refined and nutrient dense.

A nutritious diet and healthy lifestyle can help you avoid these energy-sapping symptoms. By consuming fresh, unprocessed foods and adopting a more nourishing approach to life, you’ll be able to evade these painful energy slumps, aches and pains.

Start your day on a high note, make sure to have a nourishing breakfast rich in protein, healthy fats, and fiber.

Include these food groups in each meal:

Protein: Eggs, poultry, smoked salmon, meat, beans

Healthy Fat: Eggs, fish, avocados, seed and nuts

Fiber: mushroom, asparagus, spinach, celery, green leafy veggies

Eating a more balanced meal with the above will prevent blood sugar spikes that result in the need for a sugary or caffeinated pick-me-up.

It’s easy to see the link between your diet and how energetic you feel.

Keep a food mood symptom journal. In the evening write down everything you have eaten all day and how did you feel 1-2 hours after your meal.
